Our homemade Marinara sauce starts with fresh, ripe tomatoes. We sauté garlic and onions in olive oil, then add the tomatoes, salt, pepper, and a pinch of sugar. We simmer the sauce for several hours until it thickens, into a smooth consistency with fresh basil leaves and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. The result is a deliciously flavorful sauce that is perfect for pasta, or as a dipping sauce for bread.
